O West 6 October is a city in Egypt located in the Giza Governorate of Egypt, on the western side of the Nile. It is part of the Greater Cairo Metropolitan Area and is located approximately 20 km southwest of Cairo.

The city was founded in the early 1980s, and is home to a population of over 500,000 people. The city is an important economic center in Egypt, as it is home to several large industrial parks, as well as numerous universities, hospitals, and other government institutions.
